Studio Artists
The Generator re-opened at The Oddie District in early 2022. Over the last year we have had over 65 artists become studio artists at The Generator, working on their various mediums.
The Generator offers a number of dedicated studio spaces for local, adult artists. Spaces will be limited and we suggest filling out our interest form as soon as possible to begin the process of reserving a space. Our studio artists must contribute to The Generator by presenting workshops, mentoring other members, and by making other meaningful volunteer contributions such as helping with outreach events or assisting with merch designs. Studio artists also participate in an all studio exhibition at least once per year at the Generator and are encouraged to display their artwork and studio space during our monthly Art on Tap, public art social.
Studio artists must actively use their space and be an engaged participant of The Generator community. All mediums are welcome. All selected artists will have a review every 3 months to check in and evaluate each studio artists commitment and work. Studio Artists slots are for 6 months at a time. To extend a studio artist contract the artist must resubmit their interest form and be in good standing at The Generator.
Artist space is rented for $1 per sqft with a minimum of 100sqft, with a 6 month contract.
