Alysia Dynamik, Executive Director
Alysia initially connected with The Generator in 2014 via helping with a large scale art build; it was love at first sight, and the first place she went when she moved to Reno in 2016. She moved in as a studio artist immediately, and eventually became our K12 Education Coordinator, then Education Director, and most recently has taken on the role of Executive Director. Long before finding The Generator, she worked days as a classroom teacher in Philadelphia public schools, and nights making multimedia art in a shared studio in the city - where her passion for maker spaces was born. After moving to the west coast, she co-founded a Portland maker space and found a job at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, where she coordinated a museum maker space as the Senior Technology Educator. She is a lifelong maker and multidisciplinary artist; her favorite modes of expression include microcontroller-based electronics and LED lighting, digital design and CNC fabrication, silversmithing, and wearable art. Want to collaborate with The Generator or find ways to support our mission? Reach out to Alysia at Alysia@therenogenerator.com.
